Uses of NeoCitran® Cold & Sinus

NeoCitran® Cold & Sinus is primarily used for the temporary relief of:

• Sinus and Nasal Congestion: Clears blocked sinuses, making it easier to breathe.
• Sore Throat Pain and Headache: Relieves discomfort caused by sore throat and headaches.
• Runny Nose and Sneezing: Reduces symptoms commonly associated with colds and allergies.
• Minor Body Aches and Pains: Helps alleviate general aches and fever associated with colds.

Active Ingredients (in each pouch of 14.9 g powder):

• Acetaminophen 650 mg: Pain reliever and fever reducer.
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg: Nasal decongestant.
• Pheniramine maleate 20 mg: Antihistamine to help with sneezing and runny nose.

Inactive Ingredients:

Acesulfame potassium, citric acid, D&C Yellow No. 10, FD&C Yellow No. 6, flavors (contains soy), maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, sodium citrate, sucrose, tribasic calcium phosphate.

Other Information:

• Store tamper-evident, child-resistant pouches at room temperature (15 – 25°C).
• Keep and consult the carton for important information before each use.

Directions for Use:

Adults and children 12 years and over:

• Dissolve the contents of 1 pouch into 225 mL (one cup) of boiling water.
• May be taken every 4 to 6 hours.
• Do not take more than 4 pouches in 24 hours.
• Children under 12: Do not use.
• Do not take more than directed (see Liver Warning).

Liver Warning:

Acetaminophen may cause severe or possibly fatal liver damage if you:

• Take more than the recommended dose in 24 hours.
• Use other drugs containing acetaminophen.
• Consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day.

Symptoms of liver damage may include:

• Yellow skin or eyes
• Dark urine
• Sweating, nausea, or vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Unusual tiredness or loss of appetite

Allergy Alert:

Acetaminophen may cause serious skin reactions. Symptoms may include:

• Skin reddening
• Blisters
• Rash

If any of these symptoms occur, stop use and seek medical help right away.

Do Not Use If:

• You are allergic to acetaminophen or any other ingredients.
• You are taking any other drug containing acetaminophen.
• You are using a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (drugs for depression or Parkinson’s disease) or for two weeks after stopping the MAOI drug.

Ask a Doctor or Pharmacist Before Use If You Have:

• Liver, kidney, heart, or thyroid disease
• Diabetes or glaucoma
• High blood pressure or difficulty urinating
• Breathing problems such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are taking the blood-thinning drug warfarin, sedatives, tranquilizers, or other cough and cold medication

When Using This Product:

• Drowsiness may occur.
• Alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness.
• Avoid alcoholic drinks and do not drive or operate machinery.
• Excitability may occur, especially in children.

Stop Use and Ask a Doctor If:

• Symptoms worsen or last for more than 5 days.
• Fever lasts for more than 3 days.
• Sore throat pain lasts for more than 2 days.
• You have a fever higher than 38°C.
• You feel nervous, dizzy, or cannot sleep.

Keep Out of Reach of Children:

This package contains enough drug to seriously harm a child. In case of overdose, call a poison control center or get medical help right away. Quick medical attention is critical even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
